Pauline Coldiron

Pauline (Parrott) Coldiron was born on Groundhog Day in 1929 in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, to Ellis and Delia Parrott. She had seven brothers and one sister, all of whom preceded her in death.

On June 7, 1947, she married Rev. Lenville Coldiron, who also preceded her in death. Together, they raised five children: Ron, Chuck & (Jennifer), Linda, Bub & (Frankie), and Rick & (Melissa), all of whom survive.

Pauline leaves behind more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren than she could count on her fingers and toes.

Although she trained as a professional beautician, Pauline made her mark in retail sales at United Department Store and Begley Drugs. She later used that experience to start her own business, Coldiron's Uniform Shop, which continues to operate today.

Her greatest legacy was love-not only the love she gave so freely to her family and friends, but also the tremendous love they gave her in return. Even at the age of 97, she was still singing "Mamaw's baby" to the youngest of her great-great-grandchildren as she fed them while they sat in her lap.

Earlier in life, she could often be seen walking seven or eight of her first-born grandchildren to Dairy Queen nearly every Sunday afternoon-or, as she liked to tell their "unsuspecting" parents, "We're just going out to look at the moon".

Breakfast was served at Pauline's house every morning, right up until the day she died, for any family and friends who chose to come. Her home was also the gathering place for Sunday lunches, each of her children's birthdays, and every holiday occasion. Her door was always open, and there was always room for one more.

Pauline was generous to a fault and inspired those around her to be charitable and giving as well. Her kindness, generosity, and love for others will remain a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, Pauline would choose donations to The ALS Association of Kentucky Chapter 13102 Eastpoint Park Blvd. Suite 101, Louisville, KY 40223. Donations may be made in C/o Pulaski Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, August 17, 2026, at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home and after 11 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at New Enterprise Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 12 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at New Enterprise Baptist Church on Rush Branch Rd.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Coldiron, David Coldiron, Wesley Coldiron, Wyatt Stith, Michael Coldiron, and Austin Molen.
