Wavil Pauline Vaught

Wavil Pauline Vaught of Somerset, Kentucky passed away December 16, 2025 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on January 18, 1933 in Todd, Kentucky to Shelby B. and Delta Stepp McWilliams.
She married Creston Vaught on June 10, 1951 after which they moved to Kettering, Ohio where they would spend the next 43 years before retiring and returning to Somerset in 1993.

Wavil enjoyed baking and sewing and was an accomplished seamstress. She of the Christian faith and was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Creston Vaught, her parents and one brother, Dillard McWilliams.

She is survived by her two Daughters; Darveeta Dietrich and Denise (Gary) Gover, three grandchildren Teri (and Cameron) Haines, Crestene (and Mike) Enzenbacher, and Michael (and Jessica) Gover, she also leaves her five great grandchildren; John, Jordyn, Annabelle, Addison, and Harper.

The Family will receive friends on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Bro. G. J. Farmer officiating.

Burial will be in the Woodstock Cemetery.

In lieu of Flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to The Alzheimers Association Walk to End Alzheimers. Donations can be made on line at act.alz.org for The Cumberland Security Bank Team.
