Ray Ivan Roberts

Ray Ivan Roberts, 85, born October 10, 1934 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Bradley and Angie (Nicholas) Roberts passed away on January 15, 2020 in Venice, FL after a brief illness and hospitalization.Ray is survived by his twin sister, Faye Lee Jones; his daughters Sherri (Finley) Bradley, Sheryl (Robb) Cox and grandson David Bradley. He was preceded in death by his parents (Bradley & Angie), brothers and sisters; Arvey Roberts, Rev Russell L Roberts, Ava Dalton, Janis McVey, Shay Jean Freeman, Danny Joe Roberts, twins Tarvon & Taven Roberts, and brother-in-law Frank (Faye Lee) Jones. Ray was a proud member of the Pipefitters Union Local 502 & 633 for over 50 years. Some of his most fulfilling achievements were when he learned to fly, earned an associate’s degree and built his own house. Once retired, Ray still enjoyed traveling, going to breakfast, watching westerns and telling stories. In the last 15 years, Ray and Faye Lee made great effort to celebrate their birthday together every October in KY with his Somerset family Rita Kurtz, Eunice (Charles) Cassada, Glen (Joyce) Dalton, and Donnie Gene Dalton.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Chester New officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollars Cemetery.
