Richard Abbott

Richard Nixon Abbott, son of the late Silas and Anna Sears Abbott was born in Somerset, KY on May 13, 1961 and he departed this life on Sunday, May 11, 2025 having attained the age of 63 Years.

Richard was a member of the Harmony Fellowship Baptist Church and he enjoyed playing music on Sundays at the rest home with the group.Richard was the owner and operator of Abbott's Garage for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Silas Abbott,Jr.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Crystal Abbott; three daughters, Valerie (and Matt) Rollins of Somerset, Jenifer (and J.D.) Hubbard of Eubank, KY, and Summer Morris and David Smith of Hustonville; three sons, Donavan Anthony Abbott, Richard Keith Abbott, and Scott Hall; three sisters, Elizabeth Young (and Robert) Gibson, Etta Bolin, and Martha (and Richard) Mounce and one brother, Frank Abbott of Lexington, KY.

Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Skylar Sharp, Bradley Sharp, Jasmine Rollins, Makaila Baker, Lana Baker, Autumn Baker, Annie Abbott, Braxton Abbott, Carson Abbott, Tatum Smith and Kinsley Smith; step-grandkids, Darrin Hubbard, Tyler Hubbard, and Chad Hubbard; step-greatgrandkids, Paisley Hubbard, Harper Hubbard, and Valkyrie Hubbard.

Richard was a kind and god fearing man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves a vast host of relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Adam Owens and Earl Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Northside Memorial Gardens, Science Hill, KY.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
