Robert Kinney, age 46, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 12, 2025.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 28, 1978. Robert proudly served his country as Military Police and as a specialist in The United States Army. He was among the first troops sent to Afghanistan after 9/11 and was a veteran of The War in Iraq.
He was selfless and generous person who was always helping others as well as a loving partner to his wife Ricki. He had battled addiction and won and had been sober for three years and as Peer Support helped others as they battled addiction.
Robert enjoyed working with his hands and building things, animals and spending time with his son Jason looking for a great bargain. He was proud of his truck and his motorcycle. He loved his wife Ricki with all of his heart. He will be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ricki Kinney; his grandmother, Rena Belle Brown; his four sons, Jason Hall, Julien Kinney, Christian Noel, and Trinton; three daughters, Ayla Lovins, Cheyanne, Lyiah, and; two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Kelsey; and a brother, Nick Kinney.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Rose Facundo; his father, Francis Roland Kinney, Jr.; grandfather, Robert Brown; grandfather, Francis Roland Kinney, Sr.; two grand children Luca and Clayton; and a cousin, Jeremy Facundo.
He was loved by many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
