Robert Kinney

Robert Kinney, age 46, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 12, 2025.

He was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 28, 1978. Robert proudly served his country as Military Police and as a specialist in The United States Army. He was among the first troops sent to Afghanistan after 9/11 and was a veteran of The War in Iraq.

He was selfless and generous person who was always helping others as well as a loving partner to his wife Ricki. He had battled addiction and won and had been sober for three years and as Peer Support helped others as they battled addiction.

Robert enjoyed working with his hands and building things, animals and spending time with his son Jason looking for a great bargain. He was proud of his truck and his motorcycle. He loved his wife Ricki with all of his heart. He will be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ricki Kinney, his grandmother, Rena Belle Brown, his three sons; Jason Hall, Julian Kinney and Christian Noel as well as one daughter, Ayla Lovins, grand children, Brooklyn and Kelsey as well as a brother, Nick Kinney.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Brown as well as two grand children Luca and Clayton.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
