Ronald Trent Ping, 82, of Eubank, Kentucky departed this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Ronald "Ronnie", was born on March 8, 1943. He was born in the Good Hope Community in Eubank, Kentucky; son of the late Homer C. and Clarice B. Adams Ping. He was married to his loving wife of 60 years, Sue Ann Phelps Ping, on April 4, 1965. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, a farmer and a Vietnam War Veteran that honorably served our country from 1966-1968. He received two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars and medals of valor for his service in the United States Army 1st Calvary Air Moblie Division during combat. He enjoyed dairy farming, raising tobacco and hay, riding horses, watching westerns and spending time with friends and family. He was blessed to retire on the farm enjoying many years with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Ronald is survived by his son Brian & (Kacey) Ping of Somerset; his daughter, Sherri & (Brian) Craig of Versailles; two brothers, Brent & (Jean) Ping of Monticello; Danny Ping of Eubank; one sister, Patsy & (Porter) Morrow of Burnside; one sister-in-law, Kathy Ping of Eubank; seven grandchildren, Sarah & (Louis) Duhon, Rebecca & (Jay) Zimmerman, Aystin Ping; Conner Ping; Grace Craig, Lexi Ping, and Levi Ping; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Ryker; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Bruce Ping; brother, Gary Ping; sister, Janice & (brother-in-law, Paul) Gentry; sister-in-law, Pam Ping.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Goforth officiating.
Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery in Eubank, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends after 10 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025 until time for services.
Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Ping, Brian Craig, Aystin Ping, Conner Ping, Adam Roberts, and Robbie Todd.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Heirtage Hospice, Comfort Keepers, as well as Kathy Waters and Amber Tarter for all of their assistance.
