Ruby C Gadberry

Ruby Christine Blankenship Gadberry, 94, of Nancy, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, September 24th, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, Kentucky. She was born March 20, 1932 in Woodstock, Kentucky to her parents, the late Marshal and Martha Petrey Blankenship.

As a young woman, she worked as a nurse's aid at the Somerset Hospital. Later in life, she worked at Palm Beach until her retirement. She was a member of Sardis Chapel Church in Nancy, Kentucky.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, creating beautiful hand sewn articles to give to her family.Spending time with her family and friends was something that she cherished. Her husband of 64 years, James L. Gadberry, preceded her in death. Those who survive include son, Wayne (Penny) Gadberry, Nancy; daughter Shirley (Dale) Henderson, Eubank; son, Jerry Gadberry,Somerset; and son, Joey (VeAnna Roberts) Gadberry, Somerset. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Scott (Lisa) Gadberry, Tara (Mike) Hall, Michael (Kim) Henderson, Cori (Chris) Smallwood, Megan (Josh England) Henderson, Lucas Gadberry, Lindsey (Eric) Phelps, Paige(James) Todd, and Tanner (Jessie) Gadberry. Twenty one great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren survive. Also surviving is one brother, Tommy (Lois) Blankenship.She was preceded in death by daughters-in-law, Pauletta Floyd Gadberry and Kathy Haney Gadberry.

A funeral service for Ruby C. Gadberry will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, 28, 2026 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Ruby Gadberry will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Monday until time for services.

Pall bearers will include Lucas Gadberry, Scott Gadberry, Michael Henderson,Tanner Gadberry, Logan Gadberry, Chris Smallwood, Eric Phelps, Mike Hall and Chris Massey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be given to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
