Sammie E. Brinson

Sammie Brinson, 71, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.He was born in the Ruth Community on March 10, 1947; son of the late Ernest & Hazel Meece Brinson. He was a member of Colo Baptist Church. Sammie spent many years selling cars, to which he retired; throughout the years he really enjoyed, fishing, golfing, and talking with people.He is survived by his two daughters, Tina & (Scott) Thornton; and Samantha Baker; long-time companion, Donna Vaught; four siblings, Ola & (Ambrose) Hall, Brenda & (Ernest) Warren, Elwin & (Janet) Brinson, and Melissa & (Todd) Mitchell; five grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Trevor, Dava, and Skyler; special friend, Kay Lamkin; nine fur babies; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marcella Hargis.In honoring Sammie's wishes the family will have a gathering of friends to celebrate and share memories of Sammie's life on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, with a Celebration of his life to be held at 7 PM.In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pualski Co.
