Tommy Todd, II, passed away from this life and received his heavenly reward on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 90 years and 9 months.He was born on August 13, 1927; the son of the late Thomas and Grace Rogers Todd of Nancy, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Flonnie Griffin Todd on November 5, 1948.

Tommy was the proud father of three children, Connie Todd, Marshall & (Shelia) Todd, and T.W. & (Jeannie) Todd. In addition, he had three grandchildren, Sarah Todd Godbey & (Ryan), Thomas W. & (Emily) Todd IV, and Brittany & (Robbie) Corley. There are also two great-grandchildren, Thomas W. Todd, V; and William Todd.

Tommy Todd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Flonnie Griffin Todd who passed away on March 7, 2016; three brothers, Omer Todd, Paul Todd, and John Todd; and two sisters, Gladys Hines and Marie Mason.

He is survived by his sisters, Freda Keeney, Gladola Driftmyer, and Lois Bumgardner. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, in-laws, and neighbors who mourn his passing from this life.

Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. After his service, he worked as a masonry contractor most of his life. His projects included several schools, commercial buildings, and homes in the area. He was also a lifelong beef cattle farmer.

Tommy also serviced his state as a republican member of the state legislature for 8 consecutive terms from 1980 to 1996. He also served as Chairman of the Pulaski County Republican party for several years.

Tommy's deepest commitment, however, was to his Lord and Savior. He endeavored to serve God in every facet of his life. He and Flonnie have been very active members of Sardis Chapel United Methodist Church for many years, faithfully serving the Church in many capacities. Their legacy of service is evidenced in the continued involvement and service of their children in the Church and in the faith community. Tommy was also a charter member, and the last surviving founding member, of the Somerset Camp of the Gideons service organization. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faithful service, and lasting commitment to living a Spirit-led life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Gideons Camp of Pulaski County or to the Sardis Chapel United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Jasper officiating.

Burial will be in the Todd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 5 PM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
