She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and friends who will cherish the memories of her.

Tonya, or as many knew her, “Ton”, never met a stranger. She would do anything anybody asked of her if it was in the power of the tiny little body God gave her. Everything from babysitting to nursing, Tonya would do it and never grumble or say a word. She took care of and practically raised most of her nieces and nephews, as well as their friends along with the neighborhood kids. She took them to church and VBS, friends houses, and everywhere else they needed to go and always had a smile on her face while doing it. She also made sure they all were fed and dressed for the occasion, never failing to get them a Happy Meal from McDonald’s if they behaved themselves.
One of Tonya’s favorite things to do if she wasn’t babysitting kids was painting ceramics and displaying them all over the home, inside and outside. You would often find her at her table in the living room painting everything from birds to kids to Santa Claus, etc. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, especially Christmas Barbie’s and nutcrackers of all different kinds.
Tonya’s church was very special to her, too. She loved VBS, women’s activities, choir and going places with the teens and on mission trips to do the Lord’s work. Tonya loved Jesus and it showed in the way she loved everybody. She had a reminder posted in her bathroom that said, “What can I do today to show Jesus I love Him?” and she lived the love of Jesus everyday of her life.
Tonya loved her mom. They could have their moments and they might even argue some, but when it came right down to it, there wasn’t anything they wouldn't do for each other. Tonya helped her mom with everything from taking care of the house, cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, to grocery shopping, babysitting and everything in between. Tonya also helped mom take care of her dad for many years during his illness and until his passing.
Tonya was a special daughter, sister and aunt. She was a true blessing on earth, a daughter of the one true King and a gift to all that knew her. She will be forever missed.

Tonya’s final resting place will be Piney Grove Cemetery. The viewing and funeral will be March 19, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm, with the funeral following at 12:00pm at Pulaski Funeral Home. Brother Ron Shepherd will be officiating. Pallbearers for Tonya will be Sam Price, Micah Price, Joey White, Rick Butte, Lukas Taylor and Brad Meece.
