Veronica Toni Wilson

Veronica Toni Wilson, 82, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born in New London, Connecticut, on August 7, 1944, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Ferri) Syracuse. Veronica retired after a career as a food service manager. Proud of her Italian heritage, she was a wonderful cook who found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved. She was especially known for making her own pasta and sharing her love of cooking with family and friends. Veronica enjoyed cooking, keeping a tidy home, and, most importantly, taking care of others. She had a giving heart and found happiness in making sure those around her were cared for and well fed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard Lee Wilson; her children, Toni Wilson and Rick & (Donna) Wilson; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Wilson; her grandchildren, Emily & (Larry), Ronnie & (Becky), Ryan, Amee, Keanu, Enrico, and Bryson; her great-grandchildren, Troy, Levi, Anthony, Noah, Kylie, Maya,Connor, Jack and Nora; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary (Ferri) Syracuse; her son, Jeff Wilson; and her grandchild, Christopher. In honoring Veronica's wishes, cremation will be performed.

It is the desire of the family to hold a memorial service at a later date.
