Virginia Rose McMillen

Virginia Rose McMillen, daughter of the late B. C. Rose, Sr. and the late Mary Esther Rose, was born in Jackson County, KY on October 4, 1923 and sahe departed this life in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 94 years.She was united in marriage to Mr. Logan Mason McMillen, he preceded her in death.Survivors include; two daughters, Dr. Marilyn Mason McMillen of Eubank, KY, and Peggy Ann Barker of Lancaster, KY and 2 grandchildren Eric Mason Barker of Eubank, KY and Logan Skeele of Georgetown, KY.Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by; one daughter, Linda Rose Skeele, and two brothers, Orville Stanley Rose and B.C. Rose, Jr.Virginia was a member of the Somerset First Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.The family of Virginia McMillen would like to give special thanks to Eric Mason Barker, her caregiver, Teresa Briscoe and the team at Hospice of Lake Cumberland for the excellent care given to Virginia in her final months.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the McMillen Family Cemetery.
