Walter Ike Lovins

Walter "Ike" Isaac Lovins, 79, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He was born on December 27, 1944; son of the late Dewey and Maudie (Blanton) Lovins. He worked as a carpenter for many years and enjoyed gardening and auto mechanics in his free time.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Beever) Lovins; his children, Ike Lovins, Jr., Lisa & (Philip) McCoy, Melissa & (Daniel) Spears, John & (Michelle) Lovins, and Annie Lovins; his grandchildren, Zach Lovins, Sean Smith, Courtney & (Daniel) Pulgarin, Shannon & (Anthony) Thurmond, Landon Lovins, Danielle Spears, Theresa Spears, and Brooke & (Will) Spears; his great-grandchildren, Weston Hogston, Xavier Spears, Jaedn Smith, Loki Smith, Layla Smith, Zeke Pulgarin, Averie Pulgarin, Bryynli Pulgarin, XanaRae Pulgarin, Madden Thurmond, and Trevor Estrada; and his siblings, Floyd Lovins, Coy Lovins, Rachel Probus, Wanda Probus, and Evelyn Brown; his faithful companion, Autumn; and a host of numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Grace Joos, JA Lovins, Dewey Lovins, Jr., Zeda Louise "Peanut" Young, and Donna Rebecca Lovins.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Lovins Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pulaski Funeral Home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the memorial fund for a monument for Walter "Ike" Isaac Lovins.
