Wanda Lee Wooldridge Gilbert

Wanda Lee Wooldridge Gilbert passed peacefully from this life on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Wanda was born on August 15, 1943, in Somerset, KY to the late Amos Ray and Lucille Clark Wooldridge. She married Lloyd Gilbert on October 24, 1964, and he survives. Wanda graduated from Pulaski County High School, class of 1961. She attended Somerset Business College following graduation. Wanda was a Special Accounts Coordinator at South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative where she worked for 46 years. She considered her work team her second family and made many lasting friendships during her time there. Wanda was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church and an avid Wildcat fan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by brothers, Amos Jr (Bettie) Wooldridge and Carl Ray (Cola Wooldridge) both of Somerset. A sister, Betty Jo Alexander of Monticello. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews who were like her children. Her family was her life, and she was their rock. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded by an infant sister, Helen Dean Wooldridge, a sister, Mary Francis Davis and brothers-in-law Harold Lloyd Davis and Steve Alexander. A funeral will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the family section at Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Somerset. The family will receive friends after 11 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.
