William Richard Mays

William Richard Mays, 85, of Burnside, Kentucky passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born in Huntington, WV on April 11, 1935; son of the late Raymond and Beulah Garrett Fowler Mays. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was of the Episcopalian faith.

He is survived by his wife, Sunny Mays; his son, Michael David Mays of Lakeland, FL; two daughters, Elizabeth Carol Bishop of Independence, KY., and Catherine Ann Smith of Burnside; a brother, Raymond Howard of Battle Creek, MI.; grandchildren, Seth William Edward Mays, Justin Lee Bishop, Clifford Houston Bishop, Dreamah Holly Mays, Shannon Michelle Mays, Sonuia Kay Mays, Jennifer Grace Kruskamp, and Sara Eileen Smith; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 until time for services.
