Wilma Jean Bales

April 27, 1928 — September 4, 2021

Wilma Jean Noe Bales, daughter of the late Denver and Eva Bea Glasgow Noe was born in a corner bedroom of her great grandmothers home in the Valley Oak Community of Pulaski County, KY on April 27, 1928, and she departed this life in that same room on Saturday September 4, 2021 having attained the age of 93 years.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Harold "Cotton" Bales on July 6, 1945, he preceded her in death.

Survivors include; one son, Gary (and Louise) Bales and one daughter, Connie Abbing; three grandchildren, Mike Bales, Claudette (and John) Prather and Amie (and Shaun) Campbell; five great grandchildren, Codie Wilson, Alexus Wilson, Somerlin Cheek, Jackson Prather, and Katie Bales; three great great grandchildren, Jaylex, Allie and Xavier Wadsworth; the following brothers and sisters; Ginger Noe Sears, and Tony (and Connie) Noe; two nieces and nephews, Kelley (Rick) Foster and Aaron (and Amanda) Noe and a great niece, Sophie June Noe and a great nephew Asa Aaron Noe.

Wilma Jean was a member of the Flat Lick Baptist Church and was an active member there since at the age of 14, when in 1942 she was saved and baptized at that church. She remained an active member at Flat Lick Baptist Church as long as her health would permit.

 She worked for 35 years as a seamstress at the Palm Beach Company before retirement. She enjoyed many hobbies a few of which are; sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed working in her garden and raising and tending to many beautiful flowers.

 Wilma Jean was a person who enjoyed life and always found ways to positively affect those around her. She was a wonderful Christian lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew her and she leaves a vast host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

 A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery.

 The family of Mrs. Wilma Jean Bales will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time for services. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Bobbitt Cemetery Fund c/o Vivian Eaton or Deloris Woodall. or the Bobbitt Cemetery Fund c/o First & Farmers Bank, Somerset, KY
